Senior Mechanical Engineer at Worley

• Performing more complex (S&T, ACHE, Columns) Mechanical Design Verification of Vessels using software and develop excel calculations for part code calculations
• Understanding and preparation of pump hydraulic calculations, good exposure to compressible flow machines theory
• Prepare and review complex Mechanical Equipment Datasheets and Specifications
• Prepare and Review sizing/development of major equipment and equipment specifications
• Prepare and Review Technical equipment requisitions required for procurement purposes
• Prepare and review project standard specifications and design criteria
• Assist Package Management of single Mechanical Equipment's and Multidisciplinary Packages
• Completing tasks in accordance to the specific stages of the engineering design process
• Conduct Site visitations to approve work carried out
• Produce and review Mechanical scope of work subcontract documents for procurement purposes
• Collaborate with the drafting team to ensure all drawings and designs are in-line with project specifications.
• Liaising with various departments to successfully complete the Mechanical Scope of Work
• Prepare, Perform and Review technical bid analysis & tabulation which will be used to select appropriate vendors
• Review, approve vendor information for technical detail and information
• Provide solutions based on client requirements that are in line with the company’s business model
• Conduct technical / feasibility studies and investigations.
• Attend Project progress, Interactive Planning Sessions and Kick-off meetings
• Assist in Preparing Man-hour estimates for Proposal
• Develop strong working relationships with key clients / contractors

Qualifications

• BSC Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 7-10 years
• EPC / EPCM Environment
• Petro Chemical, Oil & Gas or Similar Environment
• Extensive Experience in vessels, piping and rotating machinery
• Intermediate Multi-Office Project Experience
• Intermediate Multi-Project Phase Experience
• Specialist experience in static
• Specialist experience in rotating

Knowledge

• Knowledge & experience with MS Office packages (create spreadsheets, registers, reports, presentations, workflows, etc.)
• Knowledge of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
• Specialist Knowledge of Codes of practice relevant to industry
• Knowledge of National and International Standards
• Knowledge and application of Mechanical Engineering Design & Principles
• Proficient with Engineering tools and Software
• Knowledge and ability to perform Technical Evaluations for standard and non-standard (requisitioned) materials and construction contracts
