    Senior Piping Stress Engineer

    • Performing, approve Mechanical Design Verification of Pressure Piping using software and develop excel calculations for part code calculations.
    • Prepare, Review and Approve Engineered Spring Supports Datasheets and Specifications.
    • Prepare, Review and Approve Technical equipment requisitions required for procurement purposes i.e. Spring Supports & Expansion Joints.
    • Prepare, review and approve Client/project standard specifications and design criteria.
    • Manage, Oversee and Approve Databook’s and End of Job Documentation (E.O.J).
    • Perform Package Management of single Mechanical Equipment's and Multidisciplinary Packages i.e. Spring Supports & Expansion Joints.
    • Completing tasks in accordance to the specific stages of the engineering design process.
    • Conduct Site visitations to approve work carried out.
    • Produce, Review and Approve Pipe Stress scope of work, documents for procurement purposes.
    • Manage and maintain the Pipe Stress Log.
    • Liaising with various departments to successfully complete the Mechanical (Pipe Stress) Scope of Work.
    • Perform, Review and Approve technical bid analysis & tabulation which will be used to select appropriate vendors.
    • Review, approve vendor information for technical detail and information.
    • Provide solutions based on client requirements that are in line with the company’s business model.
    • Conduct and Review technical investigations.
    • Lead Project progress, Interactive Planning Sessions and Kick-off meetings.
    • Prepare Man-hour estimates for Proposal.
    • Develop strong working relationships with client, contractors and Vendors.
    • Maintain workshare relationships with other Worley Offices and Global Delivery Centers (GDC) i.e. with assigned Mechanical Pipe Stress Engineer(s) for the project(s).
    • Management of change orders and scope of works.
    • Assist in Resolving interdepartmental and client issues timeously, this includes seeking higher level authority, if required i.e. Lead Mechanical Engineer.
    • Provide Commissioning assistance when required.

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc. (Eng.) ; B.Eng. & B.Tech. , Pr. Eng. or Pr Tech Eng. with (ECSA)

    Experience

    • 15+ years
    • EPC / EPCM Environment
    • Petro Chemical, Oil & Gas or Similar Environment
    • Extensive Experience in Pressure Piping Stress Analysis
    • Extensive Experience in sealing of joints & bolting
    • Extensive Experience in metallic & non- metallic piping
    • Extensive Experience with Cat M, Sour & Low Temperature Service
    • Multi-Office Project Experience
    • Multi-Project Phase Experience
    • Management of Capital Projects
    • Experience in site progress measures
    • Experience in SANS 347 & PER

    • Prepare, Review and Approve Technical equipment requisitions required for procurement purposes
    • Prepare, review and approve Client/project standard specifications and design criteria
