Senior Millwright at Rich Products Corporation

Duties

• Attend to reports of breakdowns and equipment failure on the premises or anywhere that may be required timeously.
• Install new equipment and fixtures, removing the old equipment, and dispose of according to Company rules and regulations.
• Perform quarterly continuous improvement projects to improve the efficiency and performance of production equipment.
• Reduce engineering downtime in the production areas through effective and applied maintenance processes.  
• Be responsible for the completion and filing of job cards for all work done.
• Maintain the designated area of responsibility within the standards set out as per plant engineering standards.
• Comply within the OHSA requirements on all safety standards.
• Assist with the upgrade and pending projects in the plant.
• All associates shall have the responsibility to report identified problems with the food safety management system.
• Designated associates shall have defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions.
• Participate in all workshop activities related to 5S housekeeping.

Education and Experience

• Qualified Red Seal Millwright/Electrician
• Minimum of 10 years' work experience
• Experience in a bakery or dairy plant would be an advantage
• PLC and HMI knowledge and experience
• Able to work shifts
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Electrical and mechanical work
