Senior Native Android Developer at Glucode

Overview

We are hiring a full-time, senior native Android developer. We're looking for someone who has a few years of experience with Kotlin - published apps are a bonus! You will be joining a team focused on building engaging, memorable and delightful apps for Glucode and our clients.

As a senior Android developer, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with teammates. You will take part in architecture, and project-planning discussions. You will engage with clients to better understand the business requirements, and ultimately deliver those requirements together with your team.

With your knowledge of mobile development, you will help your team build clean, modular, maintainable apps that are easily testable.

Key Qualifications

This role is ideal for a senior software engineer who:

• Has 6+ years of native Android experience.
• Solid experience with the Java programming language, Kotlin experience preferred.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, such as Firebase, AWS, Dagger, Glide etc.
• Experience with TDD and ability to use Android unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Understanding of source control systems, linting tools, CI systems, and unit testing.
• The ability to architect clean code using object-oriented design.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
