• Investec Sandton is looking for a Senior .Net Engineer with a passion for designing and building scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions using latest technologies.
• You will be part of a cross-functional team of product owner, software engineers, delivery manager and QA engineers responsible for the creation of our Transactional Banking Platform. In this role, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of projects from enhancing existing features to developing brand new applications that push the boundaries of what's possible. You will have the freedom to explore your creativity, showcase your technical expertise, apply problem skills to technical issues and make a lasting impact. This involves the design, development and implementation of new solutions, maintenance, enhancement, and support of existing systems that are both on-prem and cloud.

As a Senior.Net Engineer, you:

• Need to be comfortable building microservices and integrating with other systems. 
• Work in a software development team environment using source control and continuous integration. 
• Write testable, clean, performance-oriented code that the team can support. 
• Test your software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, as well as troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the software.
• Comfortable using approved AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, testing, documentation and problem-solving, while maintaining strong engineering fundamentals, secure coding practices, peer review discipline and ownership of the final outcome
• We are looking for an experienced C# .Net Engineer with some cloud experience.

Experience, skill and capability 

Must have a proficient knowledge of:

• C#, .Net Core
• Strong database knowledge (Relational & NoSQL)
• DevOps (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Writing automation test
• RESTful Principles
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred)

Ideally have a working knowledge of:

• Event driven development
• Containerization
• API Management
