Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape is currently looking for a Senior Occupational and Ventilation Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with occupational hygiene and ventilation requirements within the mining operation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the occupational hygiene and ventilation strategy for the mining operation.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and assess ventilation systems to ensure air quality standards are met.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on occupational hygiene and ventilation practices.
• Develop and maintain occupational hygiene and ventilation management plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement control measures and risk mitigation strategies.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in occupational hygiene and ventilation.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Hygiene, Mine Ventilation, or a related field.
• Certificate Intermediate Mine Environmental Control
• Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control (3 Papers Completed)
• 5 years of experience in Occupational Health/Ventilation, whereas 2 years is in an supervisory role..
• Valid driver's license.
