Job Advert Summary    

PURPOSE: To process insurance claims for Group. To maintain complete, continued and timely claim file management, liability evaluation, reporting and reserve evaluation and payment activity.

Minimum Requirements 

 Grade 12/Standard 10 Accounting (Essential/Minimum)
Certificate in Finance (Essential/Minimum)

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE: 

1. 3 years Insurance related experience  (Essential/Minimum) 
2. REQUIREMENTS: 
3. Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
4. Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)

Duties & Responsibilities    

POSITION TASKS:

1. The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following:
2. Compliance, Governance and Assurance  
3. Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with policies, systems and procedures that are legally compliant and adhere to sound corporate governance principles
4. Adhere to Financial Reporting Strategy (FRS) to ensure services rendered to customers and compliance with statutory and management requirements

Internal Business Processes 

1. Perform all processes within group governance processes requirements
2. Utilise company resources to ensure FRS does not fall outside the ambit of group wide strategy and cost containment targets
3. Maintain relations, including interface with service providers and applicable Business Unit's (BU), as well as other functions responsible
4. Assist in compiling budget and forecasting schedules
5. Share knowledge through work procedures and instructions
6. Safe and Healthy Work Environment
7. Maintain and ensure a healthy environment and safe operations practices, ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
8. Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
