    Senior Officer: SSP, SP and APP

    Description

     OFO Update Coordination and Maintenance

    • Capacitate stakeholders on OFO process
    • Submit inputs to the OFO Version to DHET
    • Attend the DHET OFO information sessions

    Drafting of Strategic Documents

    • Gathering research information for SSP, APP & SP
    • Analyse WSP/ATR data
    • Analyse Services SETA employer file
    • Conduct stakeholder validation workshop to gather information on PESTEL/HTFV
    • Drafting of strategic documents in line with DHET, DPME and National Treasury guidelines and framework
    • Perform proofreading on the drafted strategic documents
    • Coordinate the design and printing process of the strategic documents
    • Gathering inputs for the drafting of the Annual Report
    • Prepare presentations on the strategy for governance structures
    • Attend the DHET feedback session on the strategy and address issues to be rectified
    • Launch the strategy at the beginning of the financial year (01 April) and close the financial year on 31 March
    • Ensure strategic documents are posted on the organisational website

    Monitoring of the Implementation of the Strategy

    • Develop an implementation and monitoring plan
    • Draft the organisational Annual Operational Plan
    • Monitor the implementation of the strategy
    • Report and provide recommendations on the progress of the strategy implementation
    • Provide an analysis report on the DG spending on our various interventions
    • Ensure that DG allocation is aligned to the APP/SSP
    • Analysis of the SSP implementation

    Achievement of Work Plans

    • Execute work plans and drive the evidence collection in real time
    • Produce reports against the implementation of work plans
    • Respond to audit findings with complete evidence, on time
    • Implement documented data management practices
    • Comply to policies and procedures in the unit
    • Record, file, and ensure the availability of information

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent, at a minimum NQF Level 4
    • Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification in Social Sciences, Project Management, Public Management or related field is required
    • 3-5 years’ experience in skills development, of which 1-3 years must be at an Officer Level
    • Comprehensive understanding of key legislation, including the SDA, SDLA, SAQA, QCTO, NQF Act, and PFMA
