Senior PHP Developer at Danone

The client is based all over South Africa. Up until now they have outsourced their development, but they are now looking to grow their own internal team. Our client is the first of their kind in the South African property industry and looking for passionate developers with a keen sense for business to join their team. You need to have a background of working with Linux as well as having a thorough understanding of open source, and advanced development practices. You will be involved in developing exciting web-based applications. They primarily develop in PHP and Laravel on the back-end and Javascript/ReactJS on the front-end.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• B.Sc (Computer Science) or BEng (Electrical/Electronic) Degree or BIS Multimedia is a must
• 5+ years’ experience in the web development (PHP) space.
• Experience developing software in: PHP, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL and other related technologies on a LAMP stack
• Experience in procedural and OOP methodologies
• Experience with using a framework such as PHP Slim or Laravel Lumen
• 3+ years MySQL and database administration experience
• Linux and Apache knowledge
• Good understanding of web architectures and security requirements
• Experience with 3rd party API integrations
• Strong problem solving skills
