Senior Piping Designer at Hatch

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Be responsible for development of piping 3D models and 2D deliverables in accordance with project and Hatch standards
• Assist in resolving piping technical issues and provides guidance to other designers as well as supervising and coordinating piping design tasks.

Be heavily involved in the following:

• layout of complex plant and piping systems using 3D modelling design tools
• produce 2D drawings from 3D models
• ensure 2D deliverables are checked to comply with Hatch quality standards
• perform design for piping plant models using project specifications and procedures and applying industry best practice
• using vendor drawings and information to develop and check the model, facilitate formal piping design reviews
• extracting isometrics
• coordinating pipe support design including special pipe supports with Piping Stress Engineer
• produce general arrangement drawings from the 3D model inclusive of annotation.

You bring to the role:

• 10+ years experience in piping design experience
• Superb modelling skills in a 3D environment
• Proficient in knowledge of piping material components
• Excellent understanding of piping design and layout of piping systems
• Advanced diploma of engineering or equivalent (Mechanical preferred).
• Preferred knowledge of Bentley 3D design software tools, copper concentration or flotation experience.
