Senior Process/Project Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Process/Project Engineer for our client based in Johannesburg Central. They specialise in the chemical process industry providing design, engineering, project execution, commissioning, project construction and management services. The successful candidate will come with 5+ years’ experience in engineering design in the process plant related industry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Required: Tertiary Qualifications in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Required: 5+ years’ experience in engineering design in process plant related industries.
• Beneficial: Registered as SAIChE and IChemE.
• MS Office experience.
• Familiar with Chemical Engineering Design software’s.
• Comprehensive knowledge of process plant design, operation, cost-effective engineering.
• Experience of participation in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL.
• Experience working with hazardous areas.
• Willingness to relocate internationally, should the opportunity arise.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support of generating content for proposals and presenting to clients.
• Finalise and review practicability, de-bottlenecking/optimisation/cost studies.
• Partake in safety and design reviews.
• Work in a team as well as providing project management, executing, and commissioning projects.
• Estimate the costs of equipment.
• Preparations of bids and tenders.
• HYSYS/Aspen Plus simulation & modelling, including other engineering software.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for procurement of plant and equipment.
• Yield high quality project/process engineering deliverables including but not limited to process engineering calculations, process & instrument datasheets, process descriptions, heat and mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, technical specifications/work packs, vendor equipment evaluation, generating purchase requisitions, hydraulic and pressure relief/blowdown calculations, utilities and chemical summaries.
