Senior Project Manager at LexisNexis

About the Role

• The position will work closely with the Executive for Strategy and Business Transformation to lead selected key projects, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead the preparation of executive presentations for strategy reviews and management updates. 

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for defining and ensuring compliance with project management methodologies and practices as well as defining processes, templates, and project management tools to ensure the controlled delivery of key strategic projects.
• Manage the delivery of key strategic projects through its full project lifecycle, from initiation through to implementation.
• Custodian of the business case for all strategic change projects from development through to post implementation reviews.
• Deliver results, taking initiative to get the job done as per the business case, together with the required management of change.
• Ensure all operational readiness activities are undertaken in line with the SDLC and PLC, and that appropriate training and handover takes place ahead of implementation.
• Develop programme and project budgets to include staffing and operational needs. Monitors spend and project profitability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-year tertiary qualification (e.g., BBusSci, BCom Information Systems/Informatics (Honors), or BSc Eng, BEng)
• Certifications: e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK and /or Agile related training (e.g. SCRUM or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5+ years business or technology management consulting.
• In addition, 3+ years of dedicated Project Portfolio & Programme Management.
• 6-8 years relevant work experience in a Managerial position leading strategy & projects with high preference for strategy consultancy background.
