Senior Project Manager (Juristic) – Contracting role at DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-wide initiatives within a Juristic (Legal & Compliance) environment in the banking sector. This is a critical role for a delivery-focused leader who can navigate regulatory complexity while driving strategic outcomes.
• You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating large-scale projects that sit at the intersection of business, legal, compliance, and technology.
• This role requires a strong leader who can ensure delivery excellence while aligning projects to business strategy, regulatory requirements, and organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise-wide projects within the juristic domain
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, goals, timelines, resources, and delivery approach
• Define and execute project strategy aligned to business and regulatory objectives
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation effectively
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, including development of contingency plans
• Drive stakeholder engagement across business, legal, compliance, and IT teams
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and internal policies
• Track and report on project progress, risks, and performance metrics to senior leadership
• Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Required Experience & Skills

• 8–12+ years' experience in Project Management, with a strong track record delivering large-scale initiatives
• Proven experience in the banking or financial services sector
• Exposure to juristic / legal / compliance projects (highly advantageous)
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and regulatory environments
• Experience managing enterprise-wide, cross-functional programmes/projects
• Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement at executive level
• Strong financial and resource management capabilities
• Relevant certifications (preferred): PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum
