Senior QA Engineer (Performance Tester) at Clickatell

Purpose:

• The primary objective of this role is to create test scenarios by utilizing performance and load testing methods and tools to test Clickatell's products and integrations under various parameters to ensure their long-term viability. You should have sufficient knowledge and experience to create automated performance test suites and execute these test packs using appropriate tools and simulators.

The role of our Champion:

• Design Performance Test Scripts for enterprise applications based on Requirements
• Participate in Performance bottleneck analysis and fixes
• Perform Performance Engineering & Performance Improvement activities
• Run and manage performance test campaigns
• Communicate progress and issues through regular Status Reports
• Collaborate with Business/ Application teams to improve system performance
• Assume primary responsibility as Performance Testing SPOC

Requirements
The capabilities of our Champion:

What we are looking for

• Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Workload Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management.
• Expertise in Performance Testing tools using JMeter / Performance centre.
• Execute Benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests. Monitor application logs to determine system behaviour. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessarily follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
• Analyse the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
• Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
• Publish results and receive appropriate signoff.
• Prepare detail status reports, and monitoring of all defects and issues.
• Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.
• Strong problem-solving skills and very good time management skills.
• Having prior practical experience in the following would be advantageous.
• Gitlab or other source control management tools
• Performance Testing of Chat-Commerce Applications
• Performance Testing of Web-Sockets
• exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other cloud-based infrastructures
• Working with geographically distributed teams
• Following personality traits are desired
• Assertiveness and the ability to convince others of right course of action and to explain a point of view convincingly
• Good interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills and able to communicate clearly
• Ability to write clear and concise documents, etc.

Our Champion's journey thus far: ·

• Minimum 5-7 Years of Relevant Experience in Performance Testing. ·
• Diploma in Information Technology, BTech (IT) or Computer Science Degree a significant advantage. ·
• ISEB/ISTQB certification in Software Performance Testing an advantage ·
• Experience in the Chat commerce or finance industry an advantage
