Senior Quality Engineer at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Support management in maintaining the ISO Quality Management system.
• Product/process audit schedule and associated corrective action requirements.
• Plan external supplier audits and develop as necessary.
• Perform product, process, and system audits as appropriate.
• Manage the Quality team budget, people, and resources.
• Drive the continuous improvement of supplier quality performance.
• Provide accurate and informed feedback to product designers and developers to ensure continuous improvement in design.
• Provide quality engineering expertise, guidance, and organizational skills to support Manufacturing, Engineering, and R&D activities especially during process and Design Reviews.
• Evaluate new methods, processes, and materials to determine the effect on the quality plan and revise accordingly.
• Provide all planning necessary to ensure effective product acceptance. This includes, but is not limited to inspection instructions, equipment and gauge requirements and sampling plans.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner and drive corrective action to root cause.
• Work closely with the product development group to write design control documents such as Quality Plans and Test Method Validation plans.
• Maintain and improve - Process Validation Master Plans and Incoming Quality (IQ), Outgoing Quality (OQ), Process Quality (PQ), Production Process Quality (PPQ) Protocols.
• Define sampling plans with statistical rationales, process control plans, and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to manufacturing applications.
• Set up SPC programs and drive improvement based on the evaluation of results.
• Oversee Vendor QA / Inspection protocols monitoring for Ship-to-Stock program.
• Provide data analysis, review and update procedures, protocols and submit Change Requests.
• Provide technical guidance and training to other team members in statistical analysis techniques, experimental design, data analysis, sampling techniques and other traditional QA Engineering areas of expertise.
• Utilize standard statistical analysis techniques to determine product acceptance, evaluate process capabilities, and developing statistically sound tolerance limits based on product specifications.
• Oversee QA Test and Inspection procedures including gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R) study.

Qualifications & Experience    

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent.
• Certified as a Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE) or Quality Manager (ASQ CQM) an advantage.
• 5 - 7 years’ experience in the Quality Engineering discipline.
• Fully conversant with ISO systems.
• Strong mathematical (Statistics) and analytical skills.
• Strong skills in data analysis ability.
• Statistical SW e.g., Minitab an advantage.
• Project Management experience within the quality discipline an advantage.
