Roles And Responsibilities

• Ensure that seed from plant breeders lists are packed according to procedure.
• Plan trial layout according to guidelines from breeder, pack trials according to existing protocols.
• Arrange locations as required by plant breeder in collaboration with agronomists.
• Ensure timely purchasing of fertilizers and fertilize plants as per the protocol.
• Monitor weeds and insect infestation and co-ordinate with breeders/co-workers for control measures.
• Coordinate planting, maintenance and harvesting of seed production in accordance with protocol.
• Packing of trials and preparing various spreader combinations.

Qualifications

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Agriculture or related field. MSc in Agriculture will be an added advantage.
• 3-5 years working experience in a related role.
• Proven ability to make times decisions, solve problems and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork and ability to develop strong working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to cope well under pressure.
