Senior Risk Analyst at Flash Group

To assist the Risk Department in driving the Risk Management Strategy by embedding a Business Resilience & Risk-Based Culture.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years in Risk Management or Internal Audit
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Commercial / Audit (Internal/External) / ERM / Legal)
• An understanding of Risk Management Methodologies and Governance Principles is desired
• A background in regulatory compliance (advantageous)

RESPONSABILITIES: (but not limited to)

Risk Management:

• Assist in establishing and reviewing the Group’s Risk Appetite & Tolerance Statement.
• Facilitate risk assessments: Analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the relevant division and/or the Group.
• Facilitate risk evaluations: Evaluating the division’s previous handling of risks and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the Group.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the division's internal control framework in addressing risks through process and control reviews.
• Guide the creation of policies, procedures, and control assessments in response to identified risks.
• Design, build, and implement standard Risk Assessment tools and capabilities.
• Maintain reports of significant risks and recommendations, quarterly reviews and control and process reviews.
• Facilitate workshops and provide training and technical support to management and employees regarding risk management strategies and programs, including Risk Management Portal.
• Monitor the implementation of action plans to address risks.
• Consult on projects and new product development to bring a proactive risk management focus into new business initiatives.
• Assist with building best practice frameworks.
• Oversee 1st Line to ensure the correct interpretation, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the control framework.
• Drive a resilient risk-based culture.
• Collaborate with Fraud, InfoSec and Compliance.
• Ensure regular audits are performed by Pepkor Internal Audit on high-risk areas identified.
• Drive and deliver Business Continuity commitment, support, ownership, accountability, and results.
• Design, build, and implement standard Business Impact Analysis, and other Business Continuity tools and capabilities.
• Direct the continuous and regular validation and testing of documented Business Continuity plans.
