Senior SAP SD/MM Support Consultant at Imperial Logistics

Job Function:

Responsible for the analysis, design, configuration & support of the SAP SD and MM areas to meet the business needs of Imperial Logistics. Work closely with our customers to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality. The SD/MM Specialist will add value to the SAIT SAP Competency Centre through their knowledge of the SD and MM modules and its integration with other modules.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provides specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the SD and MM modules of ECC 6 and higher.
• Understand configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and provide expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with this knowledge
• Conduct or participate in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs.
• Ensure compliance to existing, and development of, required data and reporting standards.
• Ensure the integrity of the SAP SD and MM configuration of the SAP system across multiple landscapes.
• Support production configuration and assist in functional change requests.
• Support business implementations by sharing best practice configuration skills.
• Assist with responding to user requirements, problem resolution, develop designs, and process modelling.
• Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests and prototype activities.
• Demonstrate proof of concept & assist in training activities
• Perform initial testing of problem fixes, change request, enhancements, and new functionality.
• Work within the Support Team to facilitate incident & problem resolution.
• Work with SAP to resolve software bugs.
• Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research.
• Participate in release upgrade or new functionality / enhancement assessments and make recommendations.
• Perform break/fix analysis and recommend solutions for finance related processes.
• Develop functional specifications and work with BASIS and ABAP resources to complete object development and testing
• May be required to lead and coordinate the work of a small team
• Provides leadership in the development of functional skills in others through active knowledge sharing

Knowledge and Skills:

• 6 to 8 years or more of SAP SD and MM configuration.
• A minimum three End-to-End Implementations (Project Preparation till Go-Live)
• At least 5 years Project and support experience
• Experience from a large logistics company would be preferred
• SAP S/4 Hana implementation/experience would be advantageous
• Clear communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Must be comfortable communicating and presenting at all levels.
• SAP EWM experience or Certification will be an advantage.

Qualifications:

• IT degree or equivalent experience
• Matric Certificate
• SAP SD and MM Certification – K3/K4 Level
