Reporting to the Project Leader, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing new features and enhancing the existing functionality of products maintained by the team, which may include

•              Web applications (Asp.Net MVC, JQuery, Angular, Typescript, DotNet Core Web API, Entity Framework, Linq to SQL)
•              Responsive (mobile and tablet friendly) Web sites
•              Windows Applications
•              Windows Services and Scheduled Tasks
•              SQL jobs, stored procedures and queries.

Desired Skills and Expertise

•              4+ Years’ Experience in Core Microsoft .Net C# technologies (.NET 4.6+, .Net Core)
•              Knowledge of MS SQL Server (Stored procedures, functions, views etc.)
•              Knowledge of WinForms and WPF
•              Knowledge of Web services (WSE/WCF)
•              ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript (JQuery), TypeScript
•              Angular, Vue, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap/Less/Sass
•              Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise-grade software
•              Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
•              Experience with automated testing
•              Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum
•              Experience with multi-threading and concurrency
•              Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
•              Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
•              Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
•              Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
•              Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
•              Experience with database development including relational database design, SQL and ORM technologies

Main Responsibilities:

Analysis:

•              Work collaboratively with product owner and team to elicit and define product requirements

Development:

•              The ability to design, write and maintain robust, testable code in adherence to the SDLC. (C#, SQL, Javascript etc.)
•              A solid understanding of programming fundamentals
•              The ability to implement and adhere to different design patterns and have experience implementing them. (Dependency injection, factory pattern, singletons etc.)
•              Competency in in IIS, web services and websites.
•              Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to existing systems and platforms.
•              Ensuring an adherence to established quality and standards in coding
•              Developing technical documentation when required

Testing:

•              Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing and new code

Collaboration:

•              Work harmoniously within a team environment
•              Play an active role in our Agile scrum process
•              Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and promote open lines of communication
