Senior Solutions Architect (Supply Chain) at AES Africa

Position Summary:

This is an incredible opportunity to support the Chief Architect within the Supply Chain side of a hugely successful South African company.  This role offers the opportunity to work on strategy, develop roadmaps for supply chain and reference architectures.

This is an enterprise-wide role, offering a vast range of exposure across varied business areas, within a leading multi-national business.

Qualifications:  

• Degree in Information Systems or B Sc Computer Science
• Architecture Framework Certified (TOGAF, ZACHMAN)

Critical Experience:         

• 5 years + Architecture across enterprise systems.
• 5 years + Expertise and understanding of supply chain management architectures.
• 5 years + Technical experience within Supply Chain, Demand & Supply Planning, Merchandise Planning, Allocation and Replenishment
• Implementation experience of supply chain management vendor solutions (e.g. JDA, SAP, etc.)

Role Requirements:

• In this role you will provide direct support to the domain architect, developing the Group’s supply chain landscape plan and strategy, in alignment to the wider business objectives and direction.
• You will be the ambassador for supply chain, handling the management of standards, keeping close relationships within technology moving forward. Working with IT/Tech stakeholders, to provide comprehensive and  up to date information on the function – including any improvements, or changes to the tech standards. It is important to be forward thinking in this role, always providing advice and guidance when a change can potentially impact the enterprise.
• You must asset yourself as the authority for technology in relation to supply chain management.  Provide technical direction and leadership in proposals and projects.
• You will lead on latest and emerging technologies for SC. What are the trends? How can these be utilised? Would they add value?
• You must have experience of reference architectures, as you will be expected to provide advice on the SC architecture strategy for the Group.

Architecture:

• In this role you will act as the architecture design authority for supply chain management.
• Cllaborate with the Enterprise Architect for the Group, as well as wider Solution Architects to support the complete solution.
• Provide advice for continuous improvements.
• There is the requirement to collaborate with external service providers, driving projects to successful implementation and launch.
• Provide oversight of internal designs for supply chain management systems, keeping the risk appetite low, and ensuring the strategy is maintained from a technology perspective and IT governance and processes.
• You will work closely and mentor senior developers , designers and business analysts

Supply Chain Guidance:

• Define architecture landscape for Supply Chain, in direct partnership with the Supply Chain Chief Architect.
• Review planned solution architectures – strategy, technology, governance, aligned with key business objectives.
• Team player – offering support and advice to peers relating to supply chain management. Review designs ensuring best practice.
