BSc (Hons) Information Systems Techn (Essential/Minimum)

EXPERIENCE:

Duties & Responsibilities
The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following:
Best Practice and Knowledge Management
Identify and implement initiatives to improve systems and processes by extracting information and compiling new reports and or existing standard reports on best practice systems and processes to identify and meet organisational needs
Pursue exchange and preservation of information between operations and individuals to facilitate effective knowledge management according to organisational objectives
Business Performance and Operations
Release value through ongoing application maintenance, development and optimisation
Compliance to demand management process
Escalate major developments to Solution Specialist
Analyse business solution and utilisation metrics
Responsible for analysing incidents and resolving them
Implement solution enhancements and analysing Preventative Maintenance
Develop and build strategic internal and external partnerships
Compliance, Governance and Assurance
Ensure all information and reporting has integrity and is in strict compliance with proper accounting principles and law
Recognise understand and take action to mitigate and manage risks that can impact on implementation of business strategy
Conduct assurance reviews on complex integrated systems
Functional Excellence
Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end- to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up functional processes, eliminating duplication/bureaucracy
Apply functional best practices, promote sharing of best practices/knowledge
Functional Management
Governance: Ensure function adheres to governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline
Engagement/communication: Communicate and engage functional employees, including virtuals. Engage with managers, operations and cross-functionally with peers
Support coordination of functional/cross-functional activities to ensure functional alignment
