    Senior Specialist Digitization and Programming SSA

    Role Context

    • The Digitalization Manager is responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives within the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region. This role involves developing and implementing digital strategies, managing digital projects, and fostering a culture of innovation. The Digitalization Manager will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer experiences, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals through digital solutions. Programming for dashboards and power platforms. 

    Key Responsibilities

    Digital Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement the digital transformation strategy for the SSA region in alignment with global objectives.
    • Programming of solutions based on business requirements 
    • Conduct market analysis and assess digital trends to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
    • Collaborate with country, regional and global teams to ensure the alignment of digital initiatives with business goals.

    Project Management:

    • Lead and manage digitalization projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
    • Develop project plans, set milestones, and monitor progress to ensure successful implementation.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, operations, and finance, to achieve project objectives.

    Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Foster a culture of innovation by promoting the adoption of new technologies and digital tools.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Stay updated on emerging digital trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with key stakeholders, including senior management, regional teams, and external partners, to drive digital initiatives.
    • Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and technology partners.

    Change Management:

    • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of digital initiatives.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on new digital tools and processes.
    • Address resistance to change and provide support to teams during the transition to digital solutions.

    Data Analytics and Insights:

    • Leverage data analytics to monitor and measure the impact of digital initiatives.
    • Generate insights and reports to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Ensure data integrity and security in all digital projects.

    Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure digital initiatives comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital projects, including cybersecurity threats and data privacy concerns.

    Qualifications - External
    Minimum Requirements

    Education & experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or digital transformation are highly desirable.
    • Programming qualification

    Skills 

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital transformation, project management, or a related role.
    • Strong knowledge of digital technologies, platforms, and tools.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, Python, and SQL.
    • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of successfully delivering digital projects.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
