Accountable and responsible to provide effective and credible advice, to the Ford Manufacturing team on Training and Development initiatives, processes and procedures
Ensure the effective implementation of the Ford Manufacturing Graduate Programme in the Manufacturing Operations
Liaising between COES locally and at IMG level ( i.e. Learning and Development and Talent) to ensure effective implementation of Training and Development initiatives at the Manufacturing operations according to the required Ford standard
Advise and consult upon and facilitate the implementation of the Ford Performance Management system in the Manufacturing Operations
Ensure the successful and consistent management, implementation and application of Ford Training initiatives in the Manufacturing Operations
Implement and maintain a comprehensive Training and Development administration system
Maintain and update all training and development policies and procedures, ensuring the enforcement and adherence of these policies and procedures by advising and monitoring management and staff
Undertake comprehensive preparation for and representation of the company at Training and Development forums.
Develop, design, implement and maintain required graduate programmes for the Ford Manufacturing Operations to ensure availability of skilled persons
Maintain the effective implementation of succession planning for the Ford Manufacturing Operations
Facilitate and maintain a sound working relationship with unions and union officials in relation to the Ford Manufacturing Training and Development
Monitor, review, and suggest interventions to optimize Training and Development initiatives
Consult and advise management and employees with regard to Training and Development initiatives
Monitor external Training and Development trends for consideration into Ford manufacturing operations
Design effective onboarding programmes to ensure effective integration of new and existing employees into the Ford Manufacturing Operations
Implement and design employee experience initiatives
Implement effective leadership development programmes into the Ford Manufacturing Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in human resources or Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
Demonstrated, proven track record of effectively implementing Training and Development initiatives in a large Manufacturing operation
Skills Development Facilitator Certification (SDF)
10 > years demonstrated application of the required skills as specified above and related experience in a Manufacturing environment
A strong background in Training and Development is essential in a highly Unionized environment
Advanced knowledge of the written and spoken English language
