    Senior Specialist Reward Project Management

    Purpose of the Position

    • Responsible for organising key Reward projects by monitoring and creating project plans and schedules, organise and participate in stakeholder meetings to help enhance the efficiencies, operations, and productivity levels of the Reward team.
    • Performs day-to-day administrative and project management functions concerned within all projects and systems within the Reward team.
    • Provide input and support for reporting and presentations to the Remuneration Committee (RemCo).
    • Required to work closely with the Reward team to create comprehensive action plans to follow up and drive resolution.

    Key Performance Objectives

    Project Management

    • Facilitate the development of Total Reward Requirements and the scope of projects
    • Develop project business cases where investment is needed
    • Where 3rd party suppliers are required, manage the procurement and contracting process.
    • Manage internal and external project resources towards the delivery of outcomes.
    • Develop project plans, governance structure/process and work packages.
    • Track project tasks and monitor progress.
    • Provide a consolidated view of project performance.
    • Schedule project-based meetings and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps); Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
    • Create and update process workflows.
    • Create dashboards and monitor outcomes.
    • Facilitate, track and manage office resources, such as equipment and software.
    • Track and manage the Business continuity plan (BCP) for the Reward team.
    • Manage the project forecast (project phasing) across all projects within the Reward team.
    • Ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables, with oversight from the Senior Manager
    • Identify and manage project risks and associated mitigations.

    Operational Delivery

    • Manage the overall reward annual timeline and ensure various work streams deliver according to plan.
    • Assist team members with completion of Total Reward deliverables and activities where needed.
    • Ensure adherence to process and governance.
    • Manage and coordinate the annual Total Reward statement project.
    • Provide assistance to the Reward team and consolidate their data for the annual P2P process.
    • Identify inefficiencies, formulate, and drive the implementation of the proposed improvement plans for the P2P tool.
    • Prepare weekly/monthly reports in line with the Reward team standards and governance policies.

    Reporting

    • Provide weekly and monthly reports and other project reports as needed for the Reward team.
    • Provide timely and accurate project status reports of projects. as and when needed.
    • Track and report on project budgets and resources

    Stakeholder Management

    • Engage stakeholders and assess requirements for relevant projects.
    • Socialise the scope and need of projects to relevant stakeholders.
    • Conduct change management and training where required.
    • Develop relevant communications and ensure distribution stakeholders.
    • Present reports and other documentation to appropriate stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree or Equivalent NQF Level 7 Qualification in Business Management or Project Management
    • Project Management certification is advantageous

    Experience

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a Project Management or similar environment
    • 5-8 years’ work experience
    • Reward experience advantageous
    • Solid PowerPoint experience
    • Expert Microsoft Excel experience

    • Change Management: Ability to plan and implement change initiatives. Ability to support innovation and creativity by encouraging staff to accept and resolve challenges. Ability to remain flexible to meet constantly changing and sometimes opposing demands.
    • Business Administration: Knowledge of appropriate business practices and procedures. Ability to allocate resources, plan procurement and oversee budgets and contracts to ensure fiscal stability of the team.
    • Project Management: Ability to provide strategic oversight for resource management matters including allocation of staff and assignment of case responsibilities, and tactical support.Ability to monitor case activities on an ongoing basis to ensure that clients are efficiently and effectively represented.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to develop presentations and ideas to individuals or groups using a variety of media.Ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience.

    • PC Literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project management tool (MS Project)
