Senior Sport Scientist at SEMLI

The Sport Science Unit at the Sport, Exercise Medicine and Lifestyle Institute (SEMLI) at the University of Pretoria is looking to recruit a full-time senior sport scientist to join their team from July 2022.

Job Description:

• Sport Science support and interventions encompassing sport physiology, biomechanics and strength & conditioning to athletes and coaches.
• Mentorship to UP students.
• Contribute to the research outputs of the sport science unit at SEMLI.
• Monitoring of athletes.

Essential Requirements:

• Computer based / Microsoft Office competency
• Experience in a Senior Sport Scientist Role
• Minimum 6 years experience working in Sport Science and or Football
• Masters degree in Sport Science
• Knowledge in athlete profiling, GPS Monitoring experience beneficial.

Desirable Requirements:

• Strength & Conditioning Certification (CSCS or equivalent)
• ISAK Anthropometry qualification
• Data Analytics experience
• Research experience
• Professional memberships
