Senior Sql Database Administrator at Paracon

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Designing and maintaining data and database solutions;
•  Identifying, maintaining and auditing database standards, best practices, and processes;
•  Database installations and configurations;
• Designing, configuring and maintaining DR solutions (Replication);
• Understanding Microsoft Azure architecture in general and be a Subject Matter Expert on cloud database offerings, their differences and limitations;
• Migrating SQL Server databases from on-premise to Azure IAAS/PAAS;
• Architecting and implementing solutions for SQL Server databases running on Azure;
• Establishing database standards for operations, upgrades and migrations;
• Implementing database technology policies and procedures for maximum systems uptime;
• Supporting day-to-day operations and managing an enterprise-level production database in the cloud;
• Performing applications database administration functions including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modelling, and developer support.

To apply, you need to have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and have solid experience in SQL Server (2000/2005/2008 and 2012), SQL Cluster, Data warehousing and Data Migration Management.

Experience in SSRS, SSAS and SSIS will be highly beneficial.
