Job Description

• A reputable engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Draughtsperson to join their Cape Town office. The successful candidate will take a lead role in producing and coordinating structural detailing deliverables across a range of building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the production of detailed structural drawings for steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Interpret engineering designs and develop accurate, constructible drawings
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure design intent is met
• Review and check draughting work for accuracy, compliance, and quality standards
• Manage drawing revisions, mark-ups, and document control processes
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior draughtspersons
• Ensure adherence to project deadlines and industry standards

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Draughting, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Extensive experience as a Structural Draughtsperson (senior level preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit advantageous)
• Strong knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Proven experience in coordinating draughting deliverables on projects
