Senior Structural Engineer (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) - Consulting Industry
RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable consulting engineering firm in Cape Town is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their Structures team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional to take on a senior role within a dynamic and growing consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for a range of building and infrastructure projects
Prepare and review detailed engineering designs, drawings, and technical reports
Oversee project delivery from concept through to completion
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and client specifications
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Conduct site inspections and provide construction support where required
Requirements:
BEng/BTech/National Diploma or National Higher Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering
Professionally registered with ECSA as a Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng
Minimum 8 years’ experience in structural engineering within a consulting environment
Strong technical design and problem-solving skills
Experience in a variety of structural projects (buildings, concrete, steel, etc.)
Proficiency in structural design software and MS Office
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
