Senior Supply Chain Manager, Africa at International SOS

The Medical Supply Services function is responsible and accountable for all procurement related processes and systems to ensure the supply needs of all Medical Services related sites within the region are met and within allocated operating budget and capital allocation at all times. But also, to develop opportunities to source, supply, optimise supply chain planification and logistics to Medical services Clients to penetrate new market or Africa region

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to develop and maintain effective Supply Chain Operation Excellence and Profit Centre efficiency and growth.
• The position provides management and operational strategy to the Supply Chain Profit Center transformation and development.
• This role promotes effective Sales, Operations Excellence and business profit centre to ensure the attainment of the Medical Services, Clinic and Branch business Profit and Excellence goals.
• The position spearheads the business development effort by account managing existing clients and developing the business to new clients, and new countries to expend SOS footprint.
• Secure SOS competitive advantage and added value solutions in response to our clients’ needs whilst ensuring compliance to the groups policies and relevant country regulations.
• Responsible of the Supply Chain QMS process and integration with other process from procure to pay up to final delivery, including vendors selection, evaluation and performance assessment.
• Leads upon request projects efficiency and contributes in relevant cost avoidance and cost saving leverage impact to sustain Operation profitability and quality performance needs whilst ensuring compliance to the groups policies and relevant country regulations.
• P&L management , profit optimization and working capital management
• Lead, develop and grow the global Supply Chain team in accordance with the company’s people principles and processes, including developing optimal structures and clear accountabilities, maximizing employee performance, providing mentoring and coaching, etc. to ensure the right people in the right roles to deliver finance services required to achieve business objectives.
• Lead Supply chain QMS integrating system continuous improvement jointly of the process ‘s contributors and manage Supply Chain process review jointly with Quality Team

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completed degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Management

(strong academic achievements is a must)

• Minimum 10 years’ experience working as a Senior Manager within healthcare and/or operations management
• Previous International work experience will be an advantage
• Pharmaceutical Category management experience would be an advantage
• Consulting and solution experience, lean management
• Supply Chain experience is a requirement
• Managerial multicultural experience
• Sales skills with matrix functional management

LANGUAGE CAPABILITY:

• Excellent English (spoken and written)
• French and/or Portuguese advantageous.
