Senior Systems Administrator 

Our client is one of the leading energy companies in Africa. They strive for a great company culture built on teamwork and taking care of the hard-working people that make up their very dynamic business. They are actively looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their team in Cape Town.

You will be responsible for performing an administrator role and supporting all Microsoft technologies, including MS Exchange, Windows Server, VMWare virtualization, UCS Blade Server and Storage technologies. To apply, you need to have a Diploma in Information Systems or equivalent, an MCSA/MCSE certification and an ITIL certification coupled with 10+ years’ working experience in Windows Server administration, including thorough knowledge of Active Directory management.

You need to have 5 – 10 years’ working experience and proficiency in Microsoft Exchange 2013/2019 administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale, enterprise multi-site environment.

You also need to have experience and/or knowledge of the following technologies:

• VMWare ESX;
• SCCM and SCOM;
• Collaboration tools like Skype for Business and Teams;
• Enterprise Antivirus;
• Compliance and Vulnerability Management;
• Server Patch and Release Management;
• PowerShell scripting;
• SAN;
• ADFS and Certificate Authority;
• Citrix; and,
• Enterprise Backup and Recovery.

On the softer side, you must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines. Advanced written, verbal, interpersonal and relationship management skills are vital for this role.
