Senior Technical Engineer at Robert Walters

Technical subjects to pilot and develop in the OI area :

• Hybrid solar systems
• Inverters & Micro-Inverters
• Solar air conditioning
• Solar containers
• Solar equipment for logistics fleet
• Others (to be defined with the line manager)

Commercial phase :

• Organize and validate preliminary site visits with the Construction department and draw up a technical inspection report for detailed analysis and design
• Assist the Commercial Manager (CM) in the establishment of the technical & commercial offer and the strategy to be implemented with
• To be the customer contact point for all technical matters relating to a given project
• To be the single point of contact between the CM and the various internal and external technical stakeholders relating to a specific project
• Analyse the preliminary analysis of the Technical Specifications to prepare response of Request For Tenders (RFT)
• Determine and validate a condensed assessment of the main technical elements constituting the Technical Specifications, in particular technical evaluation criteria ("clause by clause analysis)
• Determine and validate the layout and production elements relating to a specific project
• Propose a technical approach strategy on a specific project, relying on technical experts (in the BU or in France) if necessary
• Consolidate and validate the responses to the technical clarification request from the client
• Coordinate soil analysis and / or network diagnostic likely to be carried out in the commercial phase
• Validate the consistency and accuracy of the technical documents to be submitted with the commercial offer
• Determine the preliminary planning of studies, concept and works to integrate into the planning attached to the technical & commercial offer
• Contact and consult the external MOEs in order to recover the offers necessary for the establishment of the technical and commercial offer
• Determine and validate the preliminary consultation documents in the commercial phase in order to receive quotation offers from external providers
• Ensure a technological and commercial monitoring to be ready for any development opportunities
• Establish and maintain, in coordination with the various departments concerned, the CAPEX / OPEX cost matrix by type of installation for quarterly communication to the commercial and administrative teams involved in the different projects
• Establish and maintain a workload schedule of all technical activities on the scope of action and respect the deadlines received from internal and external customers
• Identify and secure opportunities for optimizing material and subcontracting costs.

In the deployment phase :

• Coordinate and validate the design activities and detailed studies on the scope of action with the help of the PV design office present in Madagascar if necessary
• Establish and validate the breakdown of the overall price (with quantitative and estimated valuations) detailed in the design phase and for sending input data to RC and Dir. Ops for validation of BPs and financial commitments
• Establish and validate detailed execution plans issued internally and / or externally relating to a specific project
• Establish and validate the technical consultation files for all of the material & equipment supply services as well as the labor and MOE services relating to a specific project
• Assist the Construction Manager (CM) in defining the execution strategy to be implemented
• Be the unique point of contact between the CM and the various internal and external technical experts
• Monitor and coordinate, including budgets, external MOE throughout the deployment period
• Ensure the compilation and consistency of the technical documents to be given to the subcontractor from the start of construction
• Ensure the technical follow-up of service providers hired for the execution phase
• Define and validate the technical files to be submitted to the authorities before, during and after the construction
• Define and validate the performance tests to be carried out on the installations deployed during the execution and/ or operational phase
• Consolidate and validate the technical file of the construction executed and send it to the PV Operation & Maintenance department concerned by the project being monitored.
