Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Specialist Technical Solutions and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the asset.
• Provide input into the development of maintenance planning programme and execution thereof.
• Execution of Specialised Maintenance Works
• Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
• Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
• Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards,
• policies and practices. Be fully conversant with JIG maintenance requirements
• Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required.
• Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
• Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
• Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
• Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external (fuel operators, service providers etc.) relationships and implement remedial actions where required to ensure achievement of organisational goals.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

• Bachelors Degree – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical - Essential
• Bachelor Honours Degree – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical – Advantegous
• ECSA Registration – Recommended
• 5 Years Operational Experience in Infrastructure Maintenance – Essential
• 1 Year Operational Experience in Aviation Industry - Advantageous
