Job Description

Responsible for maintaining the Plant, including all equipment in order to sustain a fully operational level that complies with food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics or Physical Science and a completed fitter apprenticeship.
• The suitable candidate must have an Millwright /Electrical or Mechanical Red Seal Trade / National Diploma - Electrical / Mechanical.
• Preference will be given to candidates with exposure on automatic lines and packaging equipment
• 3 Years relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Be prepared to work overtime
• Medically Fit

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Health and Safety Act;
• Ensure that weekly inspections are done of all plant equipment and machinery and that the necessary repairs are done where required;
• Pro-actively identify high risk components and ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and executed;
• Repairing faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
• Asset management of equipment and stock management of spare parts
• Evaluate work procedures regularly to ensure continuous improvement in production and quality;
• Ensure excellent service delivery;
• Act as GWK Ambassador.
