The Service Engineer contributes to the success of Innomotics and its customers through the skilled commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Innomotics medium voltage drive systems. This role involves on-site installations, developing and implementing test plans, and ensuring the optimal performance of MV drives. The Service Engineer is a key brand ambassador for the Innomotics values of Innovation, Excellence and Reliability.
Your Future Role:
Commissioning and Testing: Perform commissioning and testing of MV drive systems, including test planning, paramterization, communications and digital monitoring.
Lifecycle management: Conduct lifecycle inspections to assess the condition and status of equipment, systems, spare parts, and maintenance operations
Field Service: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for VSD's in the field. Advise customers on strategies to maximise system performance and availability.
Documentation: Complete commissioning, service, and lifecycle assessment reports. Maintain accurate timesheets and installed base records using Innomotics tools
Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with different internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical power system safety standards and regulations. Actively promote Innomotics zero-harm objectives
Your Profile:
Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in engineering, service and support of variable speed drives (medium voltage preferred)
Skills:
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings such as SLDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Good knowledge of the principles of variable speed drive and electrical motor operation
Ability to troubleshoot, fault find, and rectify AC and DC circuits.
Basic knowledge of PLC and Industrial Ethernet communications
Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Excellent computer skills.
Certifications: ECSA accreditation preferred
Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (30-70% away from home)
