    Service/Product Design Architect

    Role Purpose

    • The Service/Product Design Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert responsible for implementing the relevant business unit strategy through the development of sustainable, scalable, and best-practice service offers. This role collaborates with Service Offer Management to define and scope new services and service capabilities, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure service designs meet real needs across a global marketplace.

    Core Focus Areas

    • Development of sustainable, scalable service offers aligned with business strategy.
    • Formalization of Service Catalogues and Target Operating Model (TOM)
    • Application of best practices in design thinking, scaled agile, ITIL, and security to create robust service solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Document Internal Service Definitions for new service offers and capabilities.
    • Facilitate ideation and design workshops to validate needs and identify solution designs at process, platform, and organizational levels.
    • Collaborate with architects, designers, and SMEs on detailed solution designs.
    • Ensure designs adhere to common and specific design principles for services.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of service design and architecture frameworks to ensure designs are fit for purpose and meet client requirements.
    • Analyze pre-sales concepts and influence design decisions to ensure operability, maintainability, scalability, and robustness throughout the lifecycle.
    • Plan design activities comprehensively, considering all client requirements, specifying technical infrastructure and organizational changes.
    • Produce and maintain all design documentation, including blueprints and service design models, for transition and lifecycle phases.
    • Assess architecture components, validate technical models, and minimize risks to ensure service designs meet agreed SLAs and OLAs.

    Knowledge and Attributes

    • Deep understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
    • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Expertise in systems thinking and design thinking.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
    • Exceptional documentation skills, particularly in business requirements.
    • Advanced analytical and research capabilities.
    • Assertive and confident in facilitating business conversations.
    • Skilled in negotiation and influencing key stakeholders.
    • Ability to establish and manage processes through collaboration and business understanding.

    Required Experience

    • Expertise in systems thinking, design thinking, service automation and agentic AI
    • Extensive experience in IT environments, particularly within IT Service Operations.
    • Solid experience in ITIL, ITSM and/or ServiceNow
    • Good understanding of SIEM experience
    • Proven experience in Service Architecture - Service Delivery Models, Metrics building, RACI and Service Design
