The MARC supervisor is responsible for all the labour supervision on site.
He ensures all work carried out is safe and conforms to the prevailing labour or mining laws.
The supervisor will ensure the workplace is safe and conforms to regulations.
He will make sure all the labour work requirements are controlled and necessary licences and certificates are obtained and kept up to date.
He ensures that the Barloworld work standards are observed; all parts authorizations and service reports are signed.
He co-ordinates and executes the plan drawn up by the site planner.
The supervisor executes the plan as efficiently as possible giving feedback on any deviations.
He will confirm that all work done have risk assessments completed before proceeding.
After PM inspections will be done by the supervisor to ensure the quality of work.
The supervisor is to ensure that all facilities or work aids are arranged for work in the plan and if necessary, co-ordinate these with the customer or Barloworld.

Experience and Competencies Qualification
Grade12
Minimum of 6 years’ experience as Mechanic General, Trade Test qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) post apprenticeship or learn ship experience.
Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving Equipment Machines.
Well imbedded machine specific technical knowledge and skills.
Sound interpersonal and communication Good technical report writing skils.
Basic business and financial understanding and Computer literate
Good business writing and experiences on Caterpillar machine and product knowledge.
