Requirements :
National Senior Certificate and MBCHB/MBBCH degree that allows registration with Health Professional Council of South Africa as a Medical Practitioner. Independent practice Certificate of registration with HPCSA and current annual renewal practicing licence as an independent Practitioner.
Grade 1. 0-5 years’ experience as a Medical Officer. Grade 2. 5-10 years’ experience as a Medical Officer. Grade 3. 10 years’ experience as a Medical Officer. G
ood verbal interpersonal communication, management and administrative skills. Must be computer literate. Ability to function effectively and independently under pressure and to take initiative. Must be a team player and be able to collaborate with other health professionals (MDT).
Duties :
Experience in Paediatrics, Knowledge, skills, training and competences required basic medical knowledge, with Paediatrics, Neonatology and child health focus. Current health and public service legislation regulation and policy. Mental ethics epidemiology and statistics.
Key performance areas (will cover clinical skills performance training supervision and support) Participate in the provision of 24-hours in the outpatient clinical care. Assist with the maintenance of standards of care and implementation of quality improvement programmes within the department. Assist with the supervision and support of medical officers. CSMO and Interns in the department.
For those with request experience – Grade 2 &3: Participate in the departmental academic programme. Assist with the administration of a component of the Paediatric. Support the departmental activities for the development and training of undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational students. Assist and participate in the research activities as defined within the department
