Shift Boss Bilingual - Steelpoort at SWIFT

Qualifications:

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Permanent Blasting Certificate / Rock Break certificate (DMRE / MQA).
• Shift Supervisor Certificate.
• Bachelor Degree of Technology in mining advantageous.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience MHSA legal appointment as a Shift Boss / Supervisor, or similar role, in an Underground Mine.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 5G enabled mining operations.

Knowledge and Skills:

• English: Fully Proficient.
• Mandarin: Fully Proficient (Preferred).
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of mining standards, materials and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership skills e.g. decision-making, motivation and goal setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
• In-depth industry knowledge.
• Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of mining construction advantageous.
• Knowledge in 5G mining.
