• The purpose of this position is to oversee and coordinate the processing and packaging operations within the Processing Overheads Department, ensuring efficient shift execution, adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.                                                                                                                        

Requirements    

• NATIONAL DIPLOMA  
• 4 – 6 years relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques, and processes at the required level within the FMCG/Food manufacturing Industry  
• Business English: Fluent 
• Computer literacy (Basic)  
• 2 – 3 years Supervisory of staff experience
• Able to work shifts/weekends/public holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities    
Ensure quality assurance.  

• Apply quality assurance to the process and ensure integrity of the product. 
• Control inputs and outputs of the manufacturing and/or packaging process. 
• Ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) are in place and adhered to  
• Maintain good housekeeping (5S) 
• Raw milk balancing and identifying losses.
• Proficient in Microsoft office (creating formulas to track losses).

Ensure correct use of equipment.  

• Conduct first-line maintenance and inspections.  

Oversee the processing and packaging of product.  

• Follow standard operating procedure (SOP)  
• Ensure cleaning in place (CIP) procedures are followed.  

Manage staff.   

• Ensure optimal utilization of staff.  
• Apply consistent discipline.  
• Train and develop staff.  
• Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication with all.  
• Establish continuous improvement practices.  
• Liaise and communicate with management in all departments.  
• Provide leadership and training to artisans.  
• Set objectives, manage, and measure performance of subordinates.
