Shipping Driver Messenger/Administrator at SA Metal Group

The Company currently has a vacancy for a reliable, efficient and professional Driver/Messenger to join their team, this person will also be responsible for basic shipping administration which include but is not limited to data capturing, filing and capturing of invoices for processing. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults
• Delivery and collections of various packages, parcels or documentation
• Banking when necessary
• Various deliveries or collections
• Other collections or deliveries as requested by Shipping, Trading and/or Directors
• Capturing shipping finance related documentation
• Assisting with getting shipping files in order to be shipped
• Ensuring all shipping relevant supporting documents are in order
• Capture, track and reconciles payment information
• Prepare and maintain excel spreadsheets
• Follow up with relevant role players
• General Administration tasks including scanning and filing
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, Company policies and the regulations of the Road Traffic Act.

Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade 12 certificate
• Must have a valid, unendorsed Code 8 license with a (valid) PRDP
• Atleast 5 years of similar experience
• Computer literate – Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word
• Ability to work under pressure without supervision
• Be prepared to work after-hours, overtime including weekends
• Basic understanding of finance and Shipping practices
