    Code 14 Driver- Waste Control

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The Waste Control Division currently has a vacancy for motivated, hardworking and professional Code 14 drivers to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to the Code 14 Driver’s functions to ensure that the requirements of the Waste Control clients are met.

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults
    • Loading and off-loading of various recyclable materials
    • Ensure the safety of other road users
    • Strictly ensure adherence to National Road Traffic Act
    • Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road
    • Work Long Hours when required
    • Ensure cleanliness of Company Vehicles

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a valid, unendorsed license with a (valid) PRDP

    General Technical Assistant - Boilershop

    Job description:

    The Boilershop team requires a committed, hardworking and reliable General Technical Assistant to join their team. The General Technical Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks, amongst others:

    • Housekeeping on a daily basis
    • General workshop duties i.e. maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop and tool store
    • Cleaning of tools
    • Identify and able to select appropriate hand tools
    • Able to use basic power tools
    • Able to do to minor/ basic welding tasks
    • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of workshop safety
    • Complete basic task using oxygen/acetylene cutting process under supervision
    • Assisting Artisans with various tasks as and when required

    Qualifying Criteria:

    • Grade 12
    • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety rules
    • Ability to handle tools i.e. cutting machines

    Shipping Driver Messenger/Administrator

    The Company currently has a vacancy for a reliable, efficient and professional Driver/Messenger to join their team, this person will also be responsible for basic shipping administration which include but is not limited to data capturing, filing and capturing of invoices for processing. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Day-to-day inspection of the vehicle and to report any faults
    • Delivery and collections of various packages, parcels or documentation

    • Atleast 5 years of similar experience
    • Computer literate – Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word

    Qualified Lathe Milling Machinist

    Job description:

    The Machine Shop department currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, dedicated individual to join their team. The successful candidate will:

    • Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish the job, material and equipment requirements
    • Program and set-up tooling in the CNC Lathe and Milling machines when manufacturing different components
    • Perform routine and preventative maintenance practices on existing equipment
    • Turning or drilling metal stock or components
    • Ensure that the quality of work meets the required standards
    • Fit and assemble metal parts and tools or sub- assemblies
    • Set up and / or operate hand and machine tools

    Boilershop Coordinator

    The Boilershop department currently has a vacancy for a detail orientated, process-driven, organized individual to join their team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Boilershop Manager.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Support the Boilershop Manager in ensuring compliance of timekeeping, productive output, discipline and work programs within the Boilershop department
    • Ensure that Critical parts that are to be kept at stores are updated regularly
    • Liaising with suitable suppliers and sourcing quality parts and spares
    • Conduct spot checks on work progress and ensure quality control measures are implemented
    • Assist with formulating standard operating procedures for jobs
    • Assist with creating job cards as needed and managing the distribution thereof to the various teams
    • Driving CWorks maintenance system and ensuring workshops utilization targets are met consistently
    • Coordinate day-to-day activities, projects and the flow of tasks and responsibilities
    • Coordinate and liaise with key internal staff members in order to ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress of jobs
    • Coordinate and monitor the quality and efficiency of work processes and inter-departmental work flow, report any issues or possible improvements to Boilershop Manager
    • Planning of department needs with the Boilershop Manager as well as the effective execution of the said planning
    • Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Any other tasks including administrative functions such as completing timesheets, filing, reports as agreed with the Boilershop Manager, suited to this level of responsibility

    Qualifying Criteria

    • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
    • Qualified Boilermaker/Welding Red Seal Trade Test certificate
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Experience in a similar role
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a coordinating or similar role
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Qualified Boilermaker/Welder
    • Must be fully Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
    • Must have Strong proven administrative skills
    • Experience working with an Electronic Maintenance system
    • Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety Act
    • Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
    • Must be prepared to work overtime when required
