A Day in the Life

• Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Performing a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
• Using the computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
• Following shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
• Receiving incoming materials or preparing materials for shipment.
• (Un)packing or (un)wrapping items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logging receipt of items on the system, processing freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reporting materials shipped and bills of lading; posting weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

Must Haves

• Full job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
• May require vocational training and/or certification.
• Ability to meet the physical demands required to perform the role.
