Site Commercial Manager (Roads & Earthworks) - Construction Industry
RPO Recruitment's client, leading South African contractor is seeking an experienced Site Commercial Manager for a civil/mining project in Limpopo. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a senior commercial professional to play a key role on a significant infrastructure project with a well-established contractor.
Responsibilities:
Overall commercial and contract administration on site
Management of claims, variations, disputes, and compensation events
Oversight of QS and subcontractor functions
Cost control, cashflow management, and commercial reporting
Requirements:
BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
10–15 years’ experience in the construction industry, specifically within Roads, Earthworks, Civils, and/or Mining projects
NEC contract experience is essential
Proven experience using CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart (essential)
Sound knowledge of measurement standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to produce accurate, reliable, and precise outputs
Strong capability to interpret and assess complex contractual events and their commercial impact
