Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced Site Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical engineering, maintenance and infrastructure within a heavy industrial and continuous-process environment.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety and compliance of electrical systems while supporting maintenance, projects and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical maintenance and engineering activities.
• Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical distribution systems and plant infrastructure.
• Take responsibility for 11 kV switching and medium-voltage reticulation.
• Provide technical support for electrical maintenance, projects and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical legislation, standards and safety requirements.
• Support fault-finding, root-cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
• Manage electrical projects, upgrades and installations.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to maintenance teams and contractors.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports and maintenance records.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency and electrical safety.

Minimum Requirements

• Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant technical qualification.
• Electrical Trade Test.
• GCC Factories – Electrical.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing or continuous-process environment.
• Proven experience with 11 kV switching and medium-voltage reticulation.
• Strong electrical maintenance and plant infrastructure experience.
• Experience with electrical projects and statutory compliance.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety and applicable legislation.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work in a demanding industrial environment.
