Site Manager at Phakisa Group

• Looking for a skilled Site Manager to oversee on-site construction and maintenance activities in Middelburg.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering certificate or higher
• Project Management certificate
• 10 Years Management Experience and background in mechanical maintenance work
• Oversee and manage all on-site construction and maintenance activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate daily site operations, including supervision of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for senior management
• Interpret and implement engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards
• Identify and resolve on-site issues, delays, or risks proactively
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, incident reports, and material usage
• Enforce site discipline and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings with site teams
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control
