You will be ensuring compliance to operational budgets and the optimal efficiency and operation of plant
Managing all inventory within the plant to ensure good customer service and minimize stock variances is part of your role, as well to assist Sales where required to ensure good customer service will be required of you
Identifying applicable legislation and other requirements including permits and licenses, assessing compliance and ensuring adequate training for all staff is part of your role
In addition, you will establish an annual SHEQ plan, to include objectives for each work stream, and conduct a regular management review of the SHEQ management system
Liaising with other departments regarding production schedules, material supplies and quality standards will be expected of you
You will implement an effective document and records control system
Furthermore, you will be responsible for administering the branch to ensure smooth supply of consumables and services such as security, cleaning, waste disposal, basic services and the maintenance of grounds and buildings
What makes you great
You hold a Diploma in technical qualification or equivalent with three to five years' experience in a relevant Management position in a production environment or filling gases experience
Technical ability and understanding of Afrox products including knowledge of LPG Filing, Basic understanding of filing equipment and fault finding will be an advantage
You possess administrative skills including raising of orders, receiving, processing of invoices, good maintenance of supplier accounts and managing expenses within budget
You have strong people management, leadership and interpersonal skills are required
