Skipper Port Operations - Durban at Servest SA

• This role reports directly to the National Operations Manager, in the Marine devision.

Minimum Requirements    

• Physically fit
• Grade 12
• Medical clearance
• Must have valid certificates as per SAMSA regulations for Skipper Port Operations.
• Knowledge and experience on Offshore Supply Vessels or Tugs will be advantageous .
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends and after hours .
• Must be of sober habits, accurate and organised with attention to detail.
• Must have reliable transport.
• Must have a cell phone with WhatsApp

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Ensure high level of operation, handling, navigation and management of SM launches and crew
• Maintain high levels of safety ,diligence and work ethics .
• Must be able to conduct duties during all hours of the day, as well as in adverse weather conditions .
• To safely load and discharge provisions on and off the launch vessel, taking safety and stability into account.
• To ensure ongoing maintenance of vessel is performed and timeous reporting of any defects
• Monitor shift rosters and ensure staff provide high level service, at all times
