Main Purpose of Job

Exciting career opportunity for software developers to enter the mining space!!

The development of mining applications in an agile and fast-paced environment. The Software Developer (Mining Applications) will form part of a larger development team that will work on various IoT platforms and projects. Must also handle the day-to-day operational management/improvement of these mining applications and services on-premise and in the cloud.

Desired Qualifications

• BSc Computer Science or BSc. Information Technology (Relevant)
• Microsoft and Azure certifications
• Advanced SQL Database experience

Experience

• 4 – 5 years in software development and database management experience
• Proven experience as a Software Developer for Mining Applications (advantageous)
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with software design and development
• Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, VB6) and frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Bootstrap, WPF, Entity Framework)
• Visual Studio knowledge (I.e. MS VS 2010, 2013, 2015)
• Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping
• Basic SDLC Knowledge and experience (I.e. PMBOK)
• Basic Team Foundation Server knowledge and experience
• Advanced Database experience (MS SQL 2005, 2008, 2012)
• Advanced Reporting experience (MS SSRS 2005, 2008,2012)
• Advanced ETL experience (MS SSIS 2005, 2008, 2012)
• Advanced SQL Server configuration / optimization capabilities
• Visual Studio knowledge (MS VS 2005, 2008, 2010, 2013)
• Advanced SDLC Knowledge and experience (I.e. PMBOK)
• Basic IT skills to support hardware, software and understanding of networks
