Software Testing Specialist (2783) at The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• NQF 6 Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Certification: ISTQB Foundation Certification.
• At least 5 years’ relevant software testing and quality assurance experience.

ADVANTAGEOUS:

• Certifications in DevOps Foundation, DevOps Test Engineer, Scrum Master, or Certified Agile Tester.
• Experience with continuous testing and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with integrated system testing across APIs, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks and audit-based testing requirements.
• Knowledge and experience in automation testing and testing tools

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead UAT and system validation for new developments and enhancements.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, scripts, and cases for each release cycle.
• Ensure compliance of testing processes with contractual, regulatory, and performance standards.
• Document and deliver test reports (e.g., Test Plan, Defect Report, Regression Report, SIT Report, Post-Implementation Report).
• Provide second-level support, performing root cause analysis and coordinating sustainable resolutions.
• Collaborate with ICT and business units to refine workflows, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Continuously enhance testing methodologies, maintaining a centralised repository of test procedures and lessons learned.
• Monitor integrated environments and validate system updates, ensuring seamless interaction across platforms.
• Contribute to change management initiatives by enabling smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
