Solution Architect - CRM Applications at Ernst & Young Global Limited (EY)

As a Solution Architect, you will have depth in knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management which enable you lead and participate in enterprise solution implementations, including all project phases such as discovery, definition, build, test and deploy. You will be an integral part of the delivery team to ensure the solutions built for our clients meet their needs to help drive their success through various methods such as solution blueprints, design reviews and cross-workstream collaborations to provide a total solution.

Your key responsibilities   

• You will focus on the evaluation, design, customization and optimization of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management; leveraging Power Platform-based solutions as needed. You will team with various EY groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver digital engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life.   
• You'll work with the client to define their requirements, guide the team for any concept training and then you'll design the system architecture through team collaboration. You will provide guidance and oversight of data migration as well as any required customizations; reviewing functional design documents and working with the development team as needed to ensure that the customizations meet the client needs and follow Microsoft best practices. You will not need to be a developer, but you will need to understand technologies and development approaches, integration tools and LCS tools that can be leveraged throughout the implementation and impact that using any of those tools may have on the solution.

Skills and attributes for success  

Designs the solution architecture for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management to meet the identified customer business needs; leveraging other applications as-needed such as:

• Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, with a focus in one or more of the following areas:
• Finance, Projects, Advanced Warehousing, Supply Chain, Discrete/Process/Lean Manufacturing
• Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft solutions to accurately estimate the effort required to deploy a configured system
• Actively collaborate and review functional design documents for required customizations
• Leads client discussions to review possible solutions to the business requirements presented, leveraging standard functionality where possible
• Coordinates across multidisciplinary teams and collaborates with functional analysts, architects, and developers, communicating requirements for a complete solution 
• Monitors the progress and quality of the project in collaboration with the project manager and project governance team

To qualify for the role you must have  

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Systems or related field (MBA a plus) or work history equivalent
• Successful candidates for this role typically have 7+ years of related work experience, and experience in system design or information systems
• Minimum of 5-year experience (or 5+ projects) implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and have hands-on experience with configuration and customizations
• Experience with other Power Platform applications is preferred 
• Familiar with relational database concepts  
• Self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities  
• Excellent communication, leadership and client development skills  
• Microsoft certifications a plus, but not required 

Ideally, you’ll also have  

• Degree emphasis in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics desired; Master’s degree in one of these areas preferred  
• Certifications and prior consulting experience highly preferred
